This sculpture was created by Bruno Catalano, a French artists, who has many piece like this one. I loved this piece because it was realistic but had some personal touch. I like how it is unique to the artist and incorporates its surroundings. Unlike a regular sculpture of a standing figure, it has a good composition with the negative space. I find myself going back and looking at the artwork multiple times as it is intriguing and makes me think. I think about the leg standing alone and the torso that is supported by the hand holding the bag.

This piece called Naoshima Island Pumpkin was made by Yayoi Kusama, and unlike the first one, I don't really like it. Although it is unique it isn't visually appearing. It doesn't have a good composition since the pumpkin sits in the middle of the box. I also don't enjoy the bright yellow and polkadots throughout the pattern, along with the pumpkin aren't visually appealing. This art, and the dots, represent the artists mental condition where she hallucinates and I appreciate the meaning behind the piece. Despite the simple design I think the intention is there and I like how it has a story behind it. This art makes influences me as it makes me think about me as a person, and how I can incorporate my identity into my artwork.
