Project 7 Process Post
I am continuing my subject of chandeliers and focus on depth. I want to use warmer colors for this piece and make it a smooth transition from in focus to out of focus. I took my own reference photo and tried to get clear reflections. So far it is difficult incorporating the warm colors because the reference photo was kind of dull.

Project #5 Process Post
For this piece, I kept my themes of reflection and light but changed my content. Instead of painting candy, I moved to painting crystal and glass. My reference photo was of a chandelier, and I liked it because it had a lot of depth. I am able to draw focus to the crystals in the foreground by making them very crisp while leaving the background soft and out of focus. I also liked how it had some ambiguity, and the blend of the crystals moves the eye around the piece. Because o

For this project I was continuing my focus on colorful shadows. Unlike my last project, I put the objects on a light background to see if it would make the shadows stand out more. I struggled picking the right color because I wanted to complement the candy well but also not take away from it. I ultimately decided on a light purple because the low saturation was still pleasing to look at while being subtle. I though it was a good choice as it is the complementary color to yell
