I enjoyed the lunchtime lecture as it was different from previous ones we have had. Rather than an artsts sharing their work, Dan Kanach talked about the more business and financial side of the art industry. I found this helpful as someone interested in art because it informed me on how to get my art out to the public. I found it informing how he showed us the divide between art and design and how sometimes this can limit our abilities. Nervertheless, he encouraged us to maintain oru uniqueness despite this and I found that inspiring as it is something still aplicable. Expecially with social mediua, it is hard to comform to tredns while staying true to yourself, and as Mr. Kanach hinted at, it is imperative to find a balance. I also liked how he made his talk relateable to us, and talked aout how he started off. He explained that he wasn't the best artists but what really mattered was having fun. I come in conflict with this a lot as I am so focused on what the product will look like, that I forget this is supposed to be about the process and learning.
