Head Project

For this project I focused on a subject and that was human facial features. For the final four project I made a sculpture of an eye using class and a sketch of a face using pen. I really enjoyed using the pen and since I have already done a photorealistic piece with color I wanted to mix the medium up. I remember the pen and ink project we did in art 2 and wanted to do something similar. I sketched a girls face and wanted to make it so it wasn't a straight on simple expression. I had her looking to the right to add movement and look like she was thinking. This also aligned the ear and eyes to be on the rule of thirds. I focused on trying to draw the shadows and not draw contour lines.
