Oil Painting Process Post #2

So far working on this oil painting, I have found it very fun and different from what I am used to. Generally I just put down the color rights away, but drawing from black and white really helps me get the form. It allows me to focus on one part of the piece at a time instead of drawing it all at once. I also like the texture of the paints way more than acrylics, as I find it is easier to blend and goes onto the canvas more smoothly. When working on this piece, I have become more accustomed to using the new medium and have been able to see the form better. The first picture was me blocking out the generally shadows and highlights, and the second has more detail.
