Project #4 Process Post

For this project I was continuing my focus on colorful shadows. Unlike my last project, I put the objects on a light background to see if it would make the shadows stand out more. I struggled picking the right color because I wanted to complement the candy well but also not take away from it. I ultimately decided on a light purple because the low saturation was still pleasing to look at while being subtle. I though it was a good choice as it is the complementary color to yellow, which was used a lot in the painting. I also tried to work on the focus aspect of my work, having the part of the candy closest be out of focus. I think this makes the piece more unique and adds more depth.
