Still Life Process Post

Stella and I were inspired by the complementary colors, blue and orange, as we thought they would pair nicely together and create a cool composition. When choosing our items, we kept this color scheme in mind, while also incorporating some green and red. We wanted to have a mix of some rustic elements as well as more fun and modern elements. The book is very worn down and gives the traditional feel, which contrasts with the playful ducks that are positioned on tops of each other. We wanted to make the background more interesting then a plain cardboard box, so we draped a colorful cloth over the box, that goes with our color scheme as well as creates interesting flow in the background.
